The Bricks Are Dipped in Marble Dust

Since we first met Makeal Flammini a few years ago in Milwaukee we have been fans of her work. Then we became good friends. The combination of the two makes me very excited about her show opening Saturday May 26th. The exhibit is a stunning collection of work produced over the past 9 months while Makeal was living in rural Ireland. We do hope you can join us for her welcome home celebration, but if you can't make it tomorrow the show run's through July 15th.

Check out this sneak peek of a selection of work available and read this preview by art critic Mary Louise Schumacher in the Journal Sentinel and also this fantastic review by Cortney Heimerl in the Onion AV.

All works pencil and gouache on paper 2011-2012

PS: A hot tip, Makeal printed a limited edition book available through Sky High Gallery on opening night.
